About us

LBA History

The LBA began as the Latino Business Association in 1997 as a Non-Profit group of professionals eager to build strong business relationships between its members while promoting a positive image of the Hispanic community.

Since its inception, the LBA’s primary fundraiser has been a Golf Tournament held in the month of May. Thanks to the generous support and sponsorship of community businesses, these tournaments have raised between $20,000 and $30,000 yearly for scholarships for local, low-income, college-bound students as well as mini-grants for local non-profits and schools.

Mission Statement

Through the services of our members and fund-raising activities, the mission of the LBA Foundation is to provide support to Non-Profit organizations and individuals who strive to educate and promote Latino leadership.

Purpose and Goal

The specific purpose(s) of the LBA are:

  • To raise funds to provide financial assistance to local non-profits and schools located in Stanislaus County and to provide scholarship opportunities for the youth of Stanislaus County;
  • To pursue charitable endeavors that support and promote the advancement of all Citizens of Stanislaus County, State of California; and;
  • To undertake such other projects, programs, and activities that fall within the foregoing specific purposes of the LBA that are not inconsistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (or the corresponding provision of any future internal revenue law of the United States of America).

The goal of the LBA Foundation is to encourage the active participation of local business professionals to support future Latino leaders.
